The helicopter group was seen in Virginia on TWD and now in Texas on Fear The Walking Dead. What are they looking for? Our panelists have theories.

The next episode of Fear The Walking Dead has the ominous title “The End Of Everything” and it looks like fans will finally get more information about this mysterious helicopter group. The reach that this group has is huge. They’ve been seen in Virginia and now in Texas, how many other spots are they in? What are they looking for?

They don’t seem interested in helping people or taking people in, but their community must have vast resources if they have working helicopters and fuel for those helicopters this far into the apocalypse. In order to get taken in to the helicopter community Jadis had to make a deal with them and bring them a person. What are doing they with those people?

It may not be a coincidence that the helicopter community was in the same area where the plane crashed. If they are they searching for something near the nuclear plant or have something to do with the plant they could have taken Al to if she’s been exposed to radiation. Or they could have more sinister motives.

Far back in season 3 of Fear The Walking Dead Troy Otto and the other members of the Ranch’s militia were capturing people that were trying to come over the border and they were conducting experiments and tests on them. They would kill people to see how fast they turned, let them get bitten to see how that affected the speed of reanimation, and other horrific tests.

What if the helicopter group is doing similar experiments? One thing is for sure- the group that the helicopters belong to is large, well-supplied, and not to be messed with. Our panelists have some thoughts about what the helicopter group could be looking for:

What Does The Helicopter Group Want?

What do you think the helicopter people are looking for?

Sonya says:

"I am really excited to see this group again. There are so many possibilities….but I do wonder if maybe they are looking for a cure for whatever it is that people carry that turns them to walkers when they die. Maybe that’s why they keep taking people from all over. They could be testing how the water or weather or other factors in different regions affects the virus or how it affects a possible cure."

Sarah says:

"I think they are definitely looking for recruits of some kind. It looks like they might have an army of some sort based on the way they dress. I wonder if they are recruiting people for something big?"

Jeffrey says:

"I am genuinely so stumped about the helicopter people. They seem to be extremely organized, so that leads me to believe that they are the remnants of some sort of governmental organization. Maybe they are looking for people who may help to benefit their organization in some way. That could explain the “A” and “B” labeling system that we saw in the main series, although I literally have no guesses for what they may stand for."

Renee says:

"Perhaps looking for people to experiment on with some sort of possible cure? I can’t imagine it is something good since they are taking people against their will."
