Fear the Walking Dead has officially wrapped principal production on season 5 and the cast and crew shared messages reflecting on the experience.

That’s a wrap! Filming on season 5 of Fear the Walking Dead has come to an end. Now the editors will work their post-production magic to bring the second half of the season to life. As the cast and crew prepare to take a much-needed vacation, they took a moment to post messages about their experiences this season and to give thanks to the fans.

Thanks to the last start, the fifth episode of season 5 is airing as the show wraps for the rest of the season, something that doesn’t often happen. We just learned that Fear the Walking Dead will have a very short hiatus, with only three weeks between the mid-season finale on July 21 and the mid-season premiere on August 11.

Fans can expect to see the cast back together in action during San Diego Comic-Con July 17-21, so for now everyone is taking a much-needed break before getting ready for SDCC.

Alycia Debnam-Carey let fans know that she’s in vacay mode already:

The Fear the Walking Dead cast is about as close knit as you can imagine. At this point everyone is still alive and well on the show, but as fans know that can change in an instant. For that reason, we’re going to say thank you and goodbye for now, and we’re hoping to see the entire cast alive and well in season 6!
