1) This episode begins with the song “I Got A Letter This Mornin'” (By Son House), which features the line “That gal you love is dead”. Is this a subtle (Or perhaps, since Daniel chose the song, an intentional) nod to the fact Daniel’s wife and daughter are both dead?

2) This episode gets its name from Daniel’s cat (And constant companion), Skidmark.

3) As Daniel enters the first location on his map, he spots a machine gun behind the door, which is triggered when he opens it. This is the fourth trap we’ve seen in as many episodes. People really seem to love traps this season.

4) The infected which attacks Daniel after the machine gun goes off has several bullet holes in her stomach, indicating she was surprised by said machine gun as she went to raid the store.

5) Before eating his dinner, Daniel takes out a…mouthguard(?) or a denture(?). Was this the result of injuries he sustained after the dam was destroyed?

6) This week’s title sequence features Daniel’s plane on the back of a tractor-trailer.
