4. Evaluating Negan’s sentence

Oh, boy. First of all, what Negan has done in the past is something he needed to pay for. Being locked up as both a message to those who followed him and to ensure he won’t hurt anyone else made sense at the time. But it might not be the best course of action anymore.

Earlier, we talked about opening the gates to let capable survivors in but didn’t include opening the cell door for Negan. And, considering his actions as of late, it might be something Michonne will want to re-evaluate in season 10 of The Walking Dead.

His bond with Judith is one great reason to take another look at his situation, but Michonne has to believe that people can change as well. He also saved many lives by discovering a gas leak in a house during the winter.

This isn’t a call she can make on her own for Alexandria, but it is one that she should bring before the people and the council to discuss. Plus, if it came from the mouth of Michonne, it would be taken more seriously than if it came from someone else.
