Given the nature of The Walking Dead, moments of levity on the show are scarce but bloopers do exist and Chandler Riggs wants AMC to release them.

With the news that The Walking Dead season 9 will soon be available on DVD and Blu-Ray, it’s time for fans to get excited for all of the featurettes and bonus features that come with it. Apparently, though, there are bloopers out there that haven’t been released and Chandler Riggs is making it his duty to help those bloopers see the light of day.

Over the years there have been lots of photos coming from The Walking Dead set, photos capturing moments in between scenes when the cast is having fun in the Georgia heat. Naturally, it stands to reason that bloopers exist because there are so many takes of each scene and mistakes and gaffes happen.

Riggs must know something about the bloopers to want them released so badly. It’s likely that blooper reels have played at cast and crew wrap parties celebrating the end of filming, and if such blooper reels exist there’s no question that fans would love to see them.

As of this writing the post had well over ten thousand likes on Twitter. With such a response it’s possible that AMC might respond to Riggs and fans’ requests to see the bloopers, but it’s too late for them to come out in the season 9 DVD release.

It would be entirely appropriate for the bloopers to be part of the season 10 DVD release. Reaching ten seasons is a huge accomplishment for any television series, let alone one about zombies. With so many fans who have followed along on the journey, having ten seasons of bloopers to watch would be like a trip down memory lane.

Will AMC release those bloopers? Only time will tell. One thing is for certain, though: There will be a very eager fan base ready to devour them should they make an appearance.
