The Walking Dead showrunner drops hint about Rosita’s baby

Will Rosita’s baby have already arrived when The Walking Dead season 10 starts in October? Showrunner Angela Kang dropped a clue.

One of the big surprises in The Walking Dead season 9 after the big six-year time jump was that Rosita was pregnant with Siddiq’s child. This caused some complications for Rosita who was in a new relationship with Father Gabriel and trying to let down Eugene easy after he expressed interest in having a relationship with her. A baby is always good news in a world that needs more people.

There is only going to be a short time jump between the end of The Walking Dead season 9 and the start of The Walking Dead season 10 but that jump may have been enough time for Rosita’s pregnancy to end. Showrunner Angela Kang dropped a cryptic about Rosita’s baby in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. She said:

"“So we saw Rosita pretty heavily pregnant at the end of last year, and I’ll say that that state has changed.”"

Does that mean that there will be a new baby in Alexandria when The Walking Dead returns? Hopefully, fans will get to see the early days of Rosita’s transition into being a mom because they didn’t get to see Maggie’s. Glenn and Maggie’s baby, Hershel, was born during the 18-month time jump in-between season 8 and season 9 of The Walking Dead so baby Hershel was already toddling when he first appeared in the show. It was very emotional for fans to see Glenn’s son, and many wished that they could have seen his birth as a way to honor Glenn.

Rosita’s Love Triangle

In season 9 of The Walking Dead Rosita had quite a love tangle to work out after realizing she was pregnant. She and Siddiq were not together long and she was happily in a relationship with Father Gabriel when she found out about the pregnancy. Complicating the situation even more was Eugene declaring that he also wanted to be in a relationship with her.

Ultimately Siddiq and Rosita were able to come to an understanding and Father Gabriel was happy about the baby. Eugene accepted that Rosita didn’t have romantic feelings for him and everything went back to normal. But that was before The Whisperers showed up.

It would start The Walking Dead season 10 off on a great note to start with the arrival of a new baby so fans can hope that they will get to meet Rosita’s baby early on in season 10 when The Walking Dead returns.
