Fear the Walking Dead renewed by AMC for a sixth season

As many fans expected, AMC has made the decision to renew their zombie survival drama series Fear the Walking Dead for a sixth season.
When talking about shows that give fans a rollercoaster of emotions and isn’t afraid to make bold decisions, Fear the Walking Dead has to be among the shows discussed. Its ability to not follow any source material and change directions has made it one of the most polarizing, yet interesting shows on television.
An announcement was made at San Diego Comic-Con about the future of the series, and it is one which fans of the series were likely expecting: the show has been renewed for a sixth season to air on AMC.
Undead Walking’s Sarabeth Pollock was on hand at SDCC to see the panel and reported the news from Scott M. Gimple directly to our fans on our Twitter account:
What this means is that the story being told in seasons 4 and 5 of the popular zombie survival drama series can continue and the characters can continue to look for individuals in need to help and build a community with, much like Alicia’s mother Madison did in the past.
Of course, this also means that the characters who survive season 5 of the show will likely carry over into the show’s sixth season and continue to find themselves as they explore the southern United States.
Congratulations to Fear the Walking Dead on being renewed for a sixth season. This is a great time for fans of zombie shows since AMC seems to be going all-in on the property and will soon be adding a third show based in The Walking Dead universe and, of course, the Rick Grimes movies are also said to be on the way!
