Fear The Walking Dead season 5B trailer released – Watch it online

The midseason finale of Fear The Walking Dead airs this Sunday and fans got a first look at season 5 during the San Diego Comic-Con panel today.

Fear The Walking Dead season 5 has continued the radical change in style, story, and feel that started last season when Morgan Jones crossed over from The Walking Dead. This season Dwight crossed over from The Walking Dead and the group is facing an entirely new set of challenges.

Fear TWD continues to set itself apart from TWD by examining how survivors would react to things like natural disasters and other inanimate problems that would be faced by people in the post-apocalypse world. Season 5A saw the survivors struggling to deal with the fallout of the failure of a nuclear reactor and racing to get to safety after a second nuclear reactor failed.

The group also has been dealing with the realization that there aren’t many people left in the world and the ones that are don’t necessarily want to group up or form communities. In The Walking Dead world, it seems like people are very happy to band together and try to survive by forming small communities. But in the Fear world, it seems more like people don’t trust other people and are willing to risk dying from walkers and the environment rather than being betrayed by other people.

At San Diego Comic-Con today the trailer for Fear The Walking Dead season 5B was released and it shows that the group will continue to have to fight for each other and against some bad people, including Logan,  to accomplish their mission of helping people. You can watch the trailer here:

Fear The Walking Dead Midseason Finale

There weren’t too many spoilers in the season 5B trailer so you can still watch the Fear The Walking Dead midseason finale “Is Anybody Out There?” on Sunday night. The midseason finale has some heart dropping moments, some clues to Alicia’s future, and some heartfelt moments that will show that the survivors are going to start living for themselves and each other as well to help other people.

The bond they have is growing and deepening, and in the apocalypse world of Texas, that kind of a community bond is rare. Maybe the group can help people by showing them it’s ok to drop their guards and to care about others as well as by protecting them from walkers. It was announced at SDCC that the show will return for season 6 so it will be interesting to see where season 5B takes them and how it sets up our groups of survivors for season 6.
