All Sarah can find inside the denim factory are three flares. The factory was ransacked and there’s nothing left. She refuses to let this be the end of the road.

Suddenly a car drives up. They aim their guns at it until they see that it’s none other than “Dan the Man” Salazar, who heard them on the radio. He brought some things from the warehouse that might help. Sarah opens Skidmark’s cage and the cat runs to Salazar to greet him. Salazar notes that the cat has gotten fatter, and Wendell notes that he had a lot of tuna.

June sends Charlie to get ammunition. Morgan had grabbed his old stick from the truck and he asks Grace if it’s ok to use it, to which she replies that in the greater scheme of things it’s fine, considering that they’re about to be covered in radioactive dust.

Strand and Al are in the plane’s cockpit. They fire up the engines and find that they start up without a problem. Al radios to Morgan that they can’t wait much longer. Strand tells her that they’ll have to fly through the radiation smoke, but she’s glad she doesn’t have to do it alone. Alicia reports that she has the kids buckled up and Strand grabs her hand and says that her mom would be proud of her. Alicia says she would be proud of him, too.

Morgan and the group are about to fight the walkers to keep them from the plane but a car drives through them. It’s John and Dwight, there in the nick of time. They all get onto the plane and it starts to roll down the road that has been transformed into a runway. There are some walkers that have climbed onto the netting and the dead weight needs to be cut off. Morgan releases the pins and the netting falls as the plane banks to the right, barely clearing the smoke from the plant.

After they clear the smoke, the plane settles down. Annie hugs the kids and June tells John that she didn’t want to leave without him as Dwight looks at his wedding rings. The mountains lie ahead. They’ve made it.
