5. Standalone acts of physical prowess

Eugene is best used in a community for his mind. That’s a given since it’s his biggest strength. But that doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t be able to throw down in a fight if a situation arose where bodies were needed in a battle.

There was a moment in the season 10 trailer for The Walking Dead where he was fighting next to Rosita with a big group of walkers and it seemed as though the group has been eliminating walkers for quite a while based on their level of exhaustion.

When pushed, Eugene will prove that he’s not one to be messed with. Sure, he’s a socially awkward scientist who used to cower behind people and struggle to kill even one walker, but seeing how far he’s come and how he strong he has become will be glorious.

This isn’t something that needs to be done often. Heck, even once every season or two will be enough for him to show that he can be there for his friends and fellow survivors when needed. But he needs to learn what he is really capable of and let go of the fear he feels at times.
