Watch: 3 big revelations in the The Walking Dead spinoff sneak peek
AMC revealed a sneak peek of the newest spinoff of The Walking Dead franchise and though short, it’s enough to get the TWD Family excited about what’s to come.
After months of speculation, AMC revealed the first peek at the newest spinoff to grace The Walking Dead franchise. This time around the story follows a young group of survivors who grew up in the middle of the apocalypse, too young to remember what came before. Now in this first look fans learned a few things about the new show.
Until now, details about the new show have been relatively scarce. Casting details started to roll out slowly: Alexa Mansour as Hope, Annet Nahendru as Huck, Aliyah Royale as Iris, Nicolas Cantu as Elton and Hal Cumpston as Silas.
Longtime franchise writer Matt Negrete will set in as the series’ first showrunner, which guarantees a solid start for the fledgling show that explores the reality of growing up in the apocalypse.

With the sneak peek, here are three things that fans learned about the new show:
- The four young protagonists know that they have grown up in a world safety but beyond the walls there is a world that they don’t know.
- They decide to leave so that they can learn the truth about what the world really is.
- No title was revealed, but the new show is coming in Spring 2020.
The preview shows the four young characters and the concept art for their characters. The world they live in is overgrown, untouched by man, which suggests that their story takes place years after the start of the apocalypse.
However, they decide to leave the relative safety of their home to find out what’s really going on.
Though short, the sneak peek already looks amazing.
There is no official premiere date for the new show but the target release date is Spring 2020. Whether or not it overlaps with The Walking Dead or Fear the Walking Dead remain to be seen.
