It’s amazing how different the Governor is when comparing the version people saw on TV to the one in the comic book series. While the TV version was a charismatic man who was looking out for the people of his town, the comic version was a mentally unstable individual who loved chaos and felt like a comic book villain.

Whether you call him Brian, Philip, or just the Governor, he was a man of mystery. He kept his zombified niece as a reminder of his family and assumed the identity of his brother. Using his skills to manipulate people, he assumed a leadership role and used that power to keep him and zombie Penny safe.

There were a lot of things he and his group did that were shocking, disgusting, and disturbing.

Key Moment: The fact that people of Woodbury would accept his sexual assault of Michonne is disgusting enough, but some of the most disgusting things were done in retaliation. After rendering him unconscious, she stripped him and tied him to his apartment wall. When he regained consciousness, Michonne drilled through his shoulder, nailed his penis to a table, pulled out his fingernails and cut off his arm. But the most memorable moment of the Governor is when she shoved a spoon up his butt and then used it to gouge out one of his eyes.

Biggest Kills: Tyreese, Hershel Greene, Lori Grimes, Judith Grimes
