PUBG Mobile teaming up with The Walking Dead for special event

Battle royale games and The Walking Dead are both worldwide phenomenons and a special event mixing AMC and PUBG mobile should be great for gaming fans.

These days, battle royale video games are dominating the world. It’s hard not to find information about Fortnite, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4: Blackout, Apex Legends, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds rule the roost. And there is only one thing that could make them better: The Walking Dead.

According to the Union Journal, PUBG Mobile will work with AMC to bring some aspects of the popular television show to the mobile game, much as it has done with similar properties in the past such as Godzilla and Resident Evil 2.

The announcement of the upcoming collaboration was made by General Manager of PUBG Mobile, Vincent Wang at PMCO Global Finals in Berlin, Germany. It will be part of a future update on the game and will be a special limited-time event.

This shouldn’t be a major surprise to those who follow PUBG and AMC’s zombie survival drama series. The two properties have worked together before during the show’s eighth season when Survival Sunday’s Battlegrounds pit a team named after The Walking Dead going after one representing Fear the Walking Dead on the game’s zombie mode.

At this time, there aren’t a lot of details about how involved the undead show will be in the game, but odds are that there will likely be another zombie mode added to the game with some skins or items possible to customize things.

For now, it’s exciting just to know that there is still a great relationship between PUBG and The Walking Dead. Plus, it’s always great for AMC to find new ways to spread the word about the show to an audience, especially since season 9 of the show was a massive gamechanger.
