5. A showdown with the Whisperers

Let’s be honest here. The Saviors were an interesting threat because of their manpower and resources. They were able to force and intimidate anyone into doing what they want. The current villains on the show aren’t quite earing their fearsomeness the same way.

The Whisperers are unlike anything fans had previously seen on the show. While survivors had covered themselves in walker blood and guts to pass through the herds of the undead before, they never had terrifying masks made of rotten human flesh to allow them to make their home in a herd and not worry about walkers.

The lynchpin of the Whisperers is Alpha. She doesn’t back down from confrontation and always seems to back up what she says. Seeing a confrontation between her and Negan on the battlefield would be interesting because it’s very difficult to judge how it would all go down.

Odds are that Negan’s dirty jokes and cocky attitude would be lost on Alpha. Plus, Beta doesn’t seem to have a lot of tolerance for shenanigans. Still, a fight (or even just a conversation) between Negan and the leadership of the Whisperers would likely be highly entertaining.
