One of the first revelations on The Walking Dead Season 10 Preview Special has to do with Rosita’s baby and the love quadrangle.

Angela Kang kicked off The Walking Dead Season 10 Preview Special with the revelation that Rosita’s baby indeed has a name, and she shared the story of how the baby received its name with help from actress Christian Serratos.

Kang shared the story of how she called Serratos to find out her thoughts about Rosita’s baby. Serratos said that there is a name in her family that has been passed down through the generations: Socorro. “Socorro” is Spanish for “help” or “relief” and is based on a nickname for the Virgin Mary, “Mary of Perpetual Succour.”

Socorro caught on, but it was the nickname that really captured everyone’s attention: Coco.

Thus Coco received her name. (Oh yeah: IT’S A GIRL)

During the Preview Special actor Josh McDermitt shared that Eugene has a unique role in the Love Quadrangle between father Siddiq, mother Rosita and boyfriend Gabriel. Eugene sees himself as having a very important in the child’s life even though he has the smallest direct connection to her.

The biggest question is how the four parents interact with each other and how their relationships adapt to having so many interested parties when it comes to Baby Coco’s well-being. The reality is that it takes a village to raise a baby in the apocalypse, as evidenced by Judith’s tumultuous childhood, and so the rule to raising Coco in the middle of tension with the Whisperers is likely “the more the merrier.”

Though we don’t know what’s coming for the team in season 10, it helps knowing that Baby Coco has a loving support network full of people willing to fight to ensure her safety.
