The Walking Dead will be returning for season 10 soon. The journey up to this point has been beyond wars, walkers, and trying to survive. Culture and fandom are factors that make the experience special.

It’s almost time for The Walking Dead to return for season 10. This is a milestone few television shows reach. What makes this accomplishment even more amazing is the power of the culture and fandom that enhances the experience.

The great actors interacting with fans, strangers becoming great friends, and discussions that catch the attention of people who don’t even watch The Walking Dead make this fandom special.

It’s such a large community of fans that some people will even become curious as to how The Walking Dead has gained a large audience over the years. It’s simply something that no fan could even begin to explain. It’s sometimes simple to just say it is a matter of taste with all who have watched, but it runs deeper than that.

The mutual taste with the fandom provides a lifestyle that connects all of us. It doesn’t matter what your background or personal beliefs are. The Walking Dead has united people who likely would have never crossed paths and turned it into a strong bond.

The passion of the fan base can lead to tense debates at times, as well as standing by different characters. That’s why the fandom is like a family. Sometimes it’s a character that fans love, hate, or love to hate. No matter the circumstance, it’s a realization that without the character The Walking Dead would not be where it is today.

The strong bond of the fans has extended to the cast of The Walking Dead. Most of us keep track of projects and endeavors by actors even long after they have left the show. Many times, actors from the show are spotted as guests on other shows, which brings the fandom joy.

Only a handful of fandoms can relate to what The Walking Dead has. The nostalgia felt when a cast member appears from another show and immediately can name off the season and moments that individual had while on the show is quite impressive.

Whether they appeared in one episode or for seasons, the cast members are part of the culture and history forever. That’s special and something that is also very rare and something that even current television fandoms may not even be able to relate to. The power of the culture hits all of those who have taken part anytime during the show’s history.

All of us think differently and have differing opinions, likes, and dislikes over the years. One thing that brings us together for all events related to The Walking Dead is our love for the show.
