Fear The Walking Dead, Channel 4: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
27) In discussing Tess’s reluctance to believe Ben was dead, Morgan said “Sometimes, you can’t say good-bye”. This is clearly a reference to his inability to kill Jenny’s walker when Rick left him the rifle in The Walking Dead’s first episode, “Days Gone Bye”.
28) With Morgan’s group now leading a convoy, and leaving things for other survivors to take, they have sort of become a mirror version of Season Four’s first villains, The Vultures.
29) This episode gets its name from the label left on the radio inside the truck stop, instructing travelers what frequency to call them on, “Channel 4”.
30) How long has it been since the tape the bulk of this episode took place on was made? With Wes being confronted by Logan and his goon squad, it could have been anywhere between days and maybe even a month or two.
31) Before Logan leaves Wes, he warns him to call Morgan, lest he join the “marching band” of a few walkers that were approaching the truck stop. I don’t think this technically counts as a distinct name for walkers, more so him just mocking that particular troupe. However, if you wanted to, you could count that as the nineteenth name for the dead in Fear.
And, with that, we’ve concluded our Things To Note for this week. Was there anything you missed? Was there anything I missed? Feel free to throw in your things to note in the comments!
