Don’t try to watch Norman Reedus pee in Death Stranding video game

The upcoming game Death Stranding features a realistic character model of The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus, who actually takes the time to urinate.

Fans of The Walking Dead have seen Norman Reedus do a lot of things while playing the part of Daryl Dixon on the hit AMC zombie drama, but it appears things will be taken to a new level when his new project releases.

The upcoming PlayStation 4 video game Death Stranding from legendary game creator Hideo Kojima features an extremely lifelike model of Reedus, and in many previews and trailers, he isn’t wearing many (or any) clothes.

Funny enough, new gameplay footage released for the game shows the character taking the time to..relieve himself…when nature calls. That’s right, the in-game character based on Reedus stops to pee.

At the Opening Night Live at Gamescom, IGN reports that Kojima answered some questions about how the urination will work…and what happens when players try to spin the camera around to watch him…do his business.

"“If you try to move the camera and try to see what he’s doing, Sam will move away so you’ll never see, actually, what he’s doing,” Kojima confirmed."

Since you can’t peek, he also addressed what happens when there are other people around when nature calls, and the game developer had a great answer for that as well.

"“Also, there’s an option where you cannot release yourself like that if people are near you. So, don’t worry Norman fans…you don’t have to worry about that,” Kojima assured fans."

Even more strange was the question that came next. Geoff Keighley, the host of the Opening Night Live show, asked if this could ever be used as a weapon. Kojima gave an answer that Robert Kirkman would be proud of for how vague, yet interesting it was.

"“Yes, it could be used as a weapon, but also it can be one of the keys, and you’ll find out later. You saw the mushroom growing? So, if everyone does it in the same spot you will have something good later on.”"

Does this mean everyone should be going around peeing on mushrooms in Death Stranding? And will you be circling the camera to make Sam, the character based on Reedus, spin around in circles while he pees?

It sounds like this game will be interesting, to say the least. After watching the previews and now hearing about this urination situation, fans of The Walking Dead have to be a bit curious what Norman Reedus got himself into.
