This week our panel dives into season 2 of The Walking Dead to remember their favorite moments from this pivotal season that still resonates with fans.

For many fans of The Walking Dead season 2 is a divisive season. Some loved it and some hated it. But whether you loved it or hated it you can’t deny the impact that the events at the farm had on the rest of the journey that the survivors took.

It was in many ways a season of loss. Carl almost died. Shane lost himself and tried to kill Rick. Sophia died after getting separate from the group and turned. Dale pled for the others to remember their humanity but then lost his life. And at the end of the season Rick dropped the bomb he’d been carrying since the CDC: that everyone was already infected and everyone would turn when they died, whether they were bitten or not.

But there were some happy moments too. Glenn and Maggie’s romance blossomed. Hershel became the patriarch of the entire group instead of just his family. Carol and Daryl bonded over a shared history of abuse and Daryl’s efforts to find Sophia. The group really solidified into a community in this season. Even though they eventually lost the farm and had to run the farm was the place where Rick really become a leader and the group became a family.

There were some iconic moments in season 2 also that would echo throughout the series as it progressed. As fans wait for season 10 our panel took a look back at their favorite moments from The Walking Dead season 2:
