Fear the Walking Dead’s Garret Dillahunt ready for more zombies.

Fear the Walking Dead’s Garret Dillahunt is set to fight more zombies as his new Netflix movie, Army of the Dead, has started filming in Atlantic City.

Fear the Walking Dead’s Garret Dillahunt, who plays John Dorie in The Walking Dead spin off is currently set to play a role in Netflix’s Army of the Dead. Filming will soon be taking place in Atlantic City, with the film being set in a Las Vegas casino. Director Zack Snyder, who also co-wrote the screenplay shared a fun photo of filming on his instagram page.

Dillahunt joined Fear the Walking Dead in season 4 and quickly became a fan favorite portraying the smart and gentle soul John Dorie. He was a police officer before the outbreak and met his love, June, after the outbreak, who earlier on abandoned him. Lucky for Dorie, he found her again and the John and June love story is a bright spot in the bleak world they find themselves in.

Dillahunt is cast as Frank Peters in the new movie. Details are scarce but we know that Army of the Dead it set in Las Vegas, where a zombie outbreak has taken place and follows a group of mercenaries while they try to pull of the greatest heist ever. Also staring Ella Purnell, Dave Bautista, Theo Rossi, and Omari Hardwick to name a few.

Filming locations have been set in LA and Albuquerque but the latest location, Atlantic City is sure to be a fun adventure. They will be filming in an empty casino starting in September. Atlantic Club Casino Hotel was shut down in 2014 but recently there have been reports of air conditioning units being brought on site for the filming.

The boardwalk where the casino is locate is no stranger to zombies. The Asbury Park Zombie Walk is an annual event held on the boardwalk. Hordes of ‘zombies’ flock to attend this walk and raise money for charity.

IMDB has listed Dillahunt in The Long Home, the synopsis from IMDB is “a young contractor is hired to build a honky-tonk in Tennessee by the man who killed his father.”  He has also filmed Sergio, a Sergio Vieira de Mello biopic for Netflix.
