Though details remain scarce surrounding the new spinoff of The Walking Dead, given the show’s younger cast it would be fun to have a new host.

We love Chris Hardwick. Talking Dead is Chris Hardwick. But what if – WHAT IF – there was a new version of Talking Dead for the younger fans coming to the new spinoff of The Walking Dead? TWD3, as it has been called, is definitely aiming at a younger audience and we have an idea: What if Chandler Riggs and Katelyn Nacon co-hosted a new aftershow?

Chris Hardwick pioneered aftershows and he shall forever be known as the man who brings comfort to The Walking Dead Family following gut-wrenching and emotionally-draining episodes. However, Talking Dead hasn’t been airing on a regular basis during Fear the Walking Dead (which is a real travesty) and there’s no word on whether or not Talking Dead will return for the new show.

As much as we love Chris Hardwick, wouldn’t it be fun to see The Walking Dead alums Riggs and Nacon back on a regular basis to talk about the new show?

It’s an intriguing idea.

Fans were heartbroken to lose Chandler Riggs in season 8, and seeing Enid’s head on a pike in season 9 wasn’t easy, either. They remain very popular characters despite being gone from the show, so why not bring them back to host an aftershow for the new series? Not only would this bring a younger perspective on the new show, but having their insight on how the show’s characters navigate the apocalypse as youngsters would be fun, too.

Naturally we don’t want to lose Chris Hardwick – ever – but if having new hosts means that we can have Talking Dead following each episode of TWD3 then it might be time to think about new hosts. And of course, Hardwick can jump in from time to time. It’s his couch, after all!
