New friends and fire featured in Fear the Walking Dead 513 preview videos

The video shared on the official YouTube channel of The Walking Dead kicks off with Alicia looking at more of the tree art. She asks Strand if it is “too much Phoenix” and he offers his artistic critiques. He notices Alicia left the radio on and says they are running out of gas and won’t be able to charge it if they run out.
Alicia is hoping that Wes is listening and doesn’t want to give up on him quite yet. Despite not wanting assistance previously, she thinks there is a chance he will come around. Just then, a voice comes on the radio, but it isn’t Wes.
A woman says she’s at a truck stop by mile marker 65, but the transmission is cutting out. She manages to say she has locked herself inside for safety. Alicia relays this information to John and June, who are in the SWAT vehicle.
The couple says they’re on the way to the oil field because they think Logan may have located it. Surprised and confused, Alicia can’t figure out how they would have found it. They sent Charlie and Jacob back but Grace and Daniel are missing in action…and Morgan and Al are out of range. As the scene comes to an end, June says for Alicia and Strand to help the person at the truck stop while they deal with Logan.
It’s great that the theme of helping people is continuing and a showdown with Logan is being set up. So far, the show has mostly focused on finding new survivors to help, so a change in that or adding some conflict to the mix might be nice to spice things up. Plus, it’s kind of nice that Wes is still a wild card and the group is trying to earn his trust.
