Jeffrey Dean Morgan sends heartfelt message to Norman Reedus

The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus is up for two 2019 People’s Choice Awards and costar Jeffrey Dean Morgan is giving him lots of support.

Norman Reedus has been nominated for two People’s Choice Awards and his pal and The Walking Dead costar Jeffrey Dean Morgan is showing support for his good friend with a touching message on Instagram.

Though Negan and Daryl might not see eye to eye, Morgan and Reedus are the best of friends and there’s no question that Morgan is proud of his friend after being nominated for The Drama TV Star of 2019 and The Male TV Star of 2019.

The Walking Dead received 5 total nominations this year including Reedus’ two nominations: The Show of 2019, The Drama Show of 2019 and Danai Gurira was nominated for The Female TV Star of 2019.

In a show of support, Morgan posted a heartfelt message to his friend after learning about the nominations, along with several pictures of Reedus and time spent together:

"Ok. Norman Reedus. @bigbaldhead I’m gonna say some words. And I’m also gonna spam the crap outta y’all with pics of us… because I CAN!! I just found out about Norman being nominated… for not one… but TWO @peopleschoice awards!! There’s nobody that deserves recognition more… (he’s gonna hate this btw) I love him. I think most of us do. He is one of the more special people I’ve ever had the privilege to know… there is no better friend. No one is more loyal, loving, protective, generous. People like Norman? Rare. In fact… there can only be one. Two award nominations?! Best male actor, and also best actor. I’m so f*****g proud of him. Nobody works harder, nobody shows up with more passion, nobody takes more care with their character… and all this? After 10 years of being Daryl Dixon. Bringing that constant intensity to a role after this long is truly amazing. I just think it’s so cool he’s being recognized by all you folks… I want to personally thank you as his pal and coworker. Plus? As an added bonus… Nobody treats their fans better than norm… I say let’s reward him for all he does, and keep voting for him… cuz you know what he super HATES?? Norman Reedus was quick to respond to his good friend: “Aw man. Thanks brother I might cry this is really nice of you to say. Love u jeff.”

There is so much love between these two friends and it’s a wonder that they landed on the same show, which allows them to spend even more time together even when their characters are anything but friendly. In fact, knowing how close Morgan and Reedus are in real life makes fans appreciate scenes between Negan and Daryl even more.

With so much being teased ahead of season 10, and knowing that Negan might be free to wander around Alexandria after what he did to save Judith in the snowstorm, fans can look forward to seeing things come to a head between Negan and Daryl and that will be a lot of fun.
