Fans of The Walking Dead who can’t get enough zombies may want to check out the upcoming Snapchat series Dead of Night when it premieres in September.

For a while now, zombie shows have dominated television and brought fans together. Shows like The Walking Dead, Z-Nation, iZombie, Ash Vs. Evil Dead, Black Summer, Santa Clarita Diet, and many others have entertained fans for a decade now.

It’s just natural that these zombie programs continue to evolve. The Walking Dead is preparing their third show based in the undead apocalypse and have found success by creating webisodes, video games, and many other forms of media and entertainment to keep fans glued to the property.

However, a new competitor is entering the zombie arena in an interesting place: Snapchat.

According to PopHorror, Saturday, Sept. 14 will bring the first installment of Dead of Night, a fully scripted zombie story which will be told in bite-sized pieces and features the story of a teenage girl attempting to escape a quarantined zone filled with the infected.

Armed with her phone, the story will be told in what is being called ScreenLife and resembles the method used in the Snap Original titled Hooked. Fans of found-footage style horror and zombies might really enjoy this project produced in association with Bazelevs.

To make things a little clearer as to what to expect, check out the teaser shared by Snap Originals on YouTube:

Shows on Snapchat aren’t a new thing. Many major organizations share news and reports this way and some Snap Originals such as The Dead Girls Detective Agency, Deep Creek, Endless Summer, a new version of the well-known film series V/H/S and others have found success on the platform.
