Newly released promo photos of The Walking Dead show the Oceanside Community will be back in Season 10.

The Walking Dead fans haven’t had any scenes at Oceanside for quite a few seasons but that looks like it will change in the recently released photos for Season 10. We see Daryl Dixon and members from the other communities coming together in what could be training exercises on the beach at Oceanside in newly released photos, which can be viewed via Entertainment Weekly.

This would be a nod to Tara’s plans before her gruesome death at the hands of the Whisperers. She made a deal with Oceanside to train one anther and Rachel offered the use of the beach for this training. It appears exactly that will happen.

Showrunner Angela Kang has told Entertainment Weekly:

"“It’s been really fun having Oceanside back in the fold this season. We’ve sort of been away from them for a minute, but they are one of our communities and they’re an active partner in everything that’s going on. Everybody’s made a protection pact, and Oceanside’s part of that.”"

Cast and crew filmed on Jekyll Island, where they also filmed in Season 7. The Brunswick News reported that documents were filed to use the island in June of 2019 for the filming. Driftwood beach is the same beach that we saw Tara wash up on when she first encountered the people of Oceanside. Other information we can get from the filed documents were that 150-225 cast and crew would be present during the filming, which would include a ship wreck, and a battle.

What can we expect from the people of Oceanside? The hope is that they will come along side the other communities and fight the Whisperers. Rachel signed the charter at the fair agreeing to trade with and aid the other communities. Our main group has suffered huge losses and emotions are running high. With the brutality that the Whisperers are capable of, the four communities will need each other more than ever.

The Walking Dead will return to AMC October 6th at 9pm.
