Happy birthday Andrew Lincoln: The Walking Dead family’s celebration

It’s Andrew Lincoln’s birthday and members of The Walking Dead cast and crew have messages for their former costar on his special day.

Happy birthday Andrew Lincoln! The man who breathed life into The Walking Dead after waking up from a coma in the series premiere is celebrating a birthday on September 14, and his fellow cast members have lots of birthday wishes for their former costar.

Andrew James Clutterbuck was born on this day in 1973 in London. He has appeared in several movies including the cult hit Love Actually, but it was his role as Rick Grimes as the leader of a group of survivors on The Walking Dead that really catapulted Andrew Lincoln to stardom.

Lincoln left The Walking Dead in the middle of season 9 after an extraordinary run on the show, but his presence can be felt today as the story continues to honor Rick Grimes for all that he did to get the group to where they are today.

Several members of The Walking Dead family sent Lincoln birthday wishes, including his dear friend Norman Reedus. Daryl Dixon and Rick Grimes might have butted heads on occasion but their bond can never be broken, and Daryl continues to honor his absent friend all of these years later.

Though he might not be on the show these days, The Walking Dead is still near and dear to Lincoln’s heart. Production should begin soon for the Rick Grimes movie, coming in 2020. It’s nice knowing that Rick Grimes’ story is still going, and that soon fans will be able to see what the OG of the ZA has been up to.
