Time To Live

Wes and Alicia paint the church together, and later there is a wedding. Charlie plays the banjo as June walks down the aisle in a dress that John found in a costume shop. Jacob asks about rings, and Dwight offers him his rings. He owes everything to John and June so when he does find Sherry it will be a fresh start. Jacob goes through the ceremony. John’s vows are heartwarming, saying he loved her since she washed up on his shore. They put the rings on, and Dwight’s ring is too small so Charlie offers her shoelace so John can wear it as a necklace.

Jacob talks about the broken world and how each union makes it a little better. They break the glass, showing how traditions can be joined. Daniel and Grace sing for them while Charlie plays. Al films it all. They kiss again as the light pours in through the roof. “Ner Tamid,” he says.

In the distance, they can hear the cars approaching. “This is it,” Morgan says. Tess gathers the children while everyone gets their weapons together.

Virginia rolls up in the SWAT van to make a huge statement. She’s impressed that they cleared the place out. She also says that Strand told her about what they had planned and she hopes they’re not still planning on that.

Morgan says they need her help, But he wants to know that Virginia will take the whole group – their sick, their injured and the elderly. All of them. All or nothing. She reminds him that he’s in no position to make demands. He says that they’re more valuable together, and they will only cooperate if they all go together, otherwise they will all lose.

There’s a standoff of wills and eventually Virginia caves. She says it’s worth saving bullets.

“Adios yesterday, hello tomorrow,” she says.
