Our favorite moments from The Walking Dead season 5

Hold The Door
Season 5 Episode 10 “Them”
Renee says:
Season 5 contained so many highs and lows. Our group came back together, fought the Terminites, Rick and Carl reunited with Judith, they lost Beth & Tyreese, and felt hopeless when they couldn’t find food and water. But, my favorite scene is when they are all in the barn and had to work together to hold back the herd of walkers during the storm.
Right before this, they were all searching for food and water. They felt helpless and defeated. Maggie even voiced out loud how much longer do we have. Not until they find food but until they would succumb to lack of food and water.
Daryl was out on his own a lot trying to deal with the pain of losing Beth so unexpectedly. He was quiet and moody and pulled away from the group. Rick although happy he was reunited with Judith had to be struggling with his role as the leader and not being able to provide for his group. Noah wasn’t sure if he could make it in this world. Abraham was drowning his sorrows with alcohol. Everyone was dealing, in their own way, with loss and thoughts of dehydration and starvation.
When they went to the barn for shelter from the storm it gave them time to ponder and talk out some of their fears, frustrations, and their losses. When the herd tried to get into the barn they had to once again, put aside their differences and pain and band together to protect the group. They held onto that door because their lives depended on it. No one person could have done it alone.
I felt like this was a great moment to prepare them for what lies ahead. A new life at Alexandria.
