Carol Fights The Wolves

Season 6, Episode 2, “JSS”

Renee says:

Season 6 took us on many twists and turns. One of my favorite scenes is Carol during the Wolves attack on Alexandria. Carol, so far, had been quiet, and subdued while she figured the Alexandrians out. She’s played the dutiful housewife type and made some friends among the ladies of Alexandria.

Early in the episode Carol had been giving Shelly a hard time about her bad habit of smoking. Carol tells Shelly she would teach her how to make homemade pasta if she gave up smoking. While preparing dinner Carol sees Shelly outside smoking and then Shelly is brutally attacked and killed by a member of the Wolves. The Carol we know springs to action and sneaks out to counter this attack. She notices the ‘W’ on the face of one of the people she killed so she disguises herself as one of them to move easily about while defending Alexandria.

She encounters and defeats many of the Wolves. Morgan tried to convince her not to kill them. She finds Olivia hiding in a closet in the armory and tells her to guard the guns. She comes across Morgan tying up one of the Wolves and she immediately shoots the prisoner because she doesn’t believe in Morgan’s no kill policy.

I love this so much because this shows what a badass Carol is. Carol has had to show this side of herself many times in the past, and will continue into the future. She has went from Ed’s doormat to a powerhouse in the ZA. She has saved people so many times with her fearlessness.

I am excited to see what Season 10 Carol has in store for us!
