TWD Family is HUGE. Often when I go to an event or interact on social media I am always finding new family members. I feel loved and accepted by these people who without TWD connection I may never have met otherwise.
Some of these people I interact with daily, text frequently, and call when someone needs something. We have pooled our money together to help out a single parent or an expecting mother. We exchange Christmas cards, birthday greetings, and gifts. When we come together at an event, everyone knows we are there by our energetic and loud greetings, huge hugs, and many kisses. We pick up right where we left off and are genuinely glad to see one another.
Many of us have been helped by watching the series. By relating to the characters in TWD and getting some sense of hope in our lives. It’s easy to get immersed in the lives of these characters and feel a connection with them. Characters like Hershel, Morgan, Rick, Michonne, and others have shared words of wisdom to someone else in the show but those same words have impacted viewers and touched their lives and given fans words to cling to in times of trial.
You have read all of our stories now we want to hear YOURS. We want to hear how the series, friends you have made or even an actor has impacted your life. Use the hashtag #MyTWDStory and post on Twitter for us to read. It doesn’t matter how trivial you think it is we want to hear about how TWD has changed your life.
Season 9 of The Walking Dead is available now on Netflix, which means you have time to re-watch before the season premiere of Season 10 arrives October 6th on AMC.
