The Walking Dead season 10 is almost twenty-four hours away as we speak, and the biggest takeaway from the previews is that it’s a new beginning not just for the survivors, but for viewers as well.

The Walking Dead has evolved over time and the way people survived changed. Season 10 will prove to be a new beginning all over again. Everything that has happened in the past is officially in the past. The newest season premiere will be a new start for viewers.

They are no longer fighting to survive as individuals, they are trying to survive as a community. In the past, it was all about individual survival and self-preservation. Even after the communities slowly developed, individual survival was still an ongoing theme.

The communities are now united and at their absolute best. They are trying to survive the broken world that stands between their developed communities. Their system has made survival dependent on a fixed system of stability and order rather than being spontaneous and chaotic.

Rarely do television shows change a direction after so many seasons, but The Walking Dead has managed to do it. It is a refreshing change of pace for fans who have been watching since the beginning and new fans who have just started watching.

The possibility of losing anyone can rattle the foundation of the communities. The deaths from big and small role survivors will shake them to the core for season 10 and beyond.
