3. Decision To Keep The Peace With The Whisperers

Daryl made it clear to Carol that they were not about to cross the road to get the deer. Even if the Whisperers aren’t around, they’re not going to risk antagonizing them. The very same thing happened with Aaron and Michonne.

At some point, the decision was made that they would uphold Alpha’s borders. The group that has always been known to fight back against oppression has decided to focus on building an army to be ready for the Whisperers to return rather than take their chances in crossing the border. It would have been interesting to hear how they arrived at this plan.

2. Daryl’s Reaction To Negan’s “Release”

No matter what Negan does to make up for what he did, no amount of good behavior will never be enough for Daryl to see him as anything but a threat. Michonne might be able to give him some allowances after saving Judith’s life, but not Negan.

Negan’s act of bravery in saving Judith came at the end of season 9, just as Daryl and Carol and the rest of the group arrived back home in Alexandria. After his recovery, it would make sense that he was slowly reintroduced to the outside of his jail cell.

It’s hard to believe that Daryl doesn’t know that Negan gets supervised time outside of his cell and we have to think that learning about it didn’t sit well with him. Then again, Judith might have talked with Uncle Daryl and explained that Negan isn’t the man he used to be.

At any rate, that first interaction between Daryl and Negan outside of the jail cell would have been something to see.
