Robert Kirkman is known for being the creator of The Walking Dead and soon fans can see him in the upcoming Kevin Smith film Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
Fans of Kevin Smith know he is a massive fan of The Walking Dead. The former Comic Book Men developer, SMODcast creator, director, and producer has appeared on Talking Dead in the past and soon he will be back on the big screen in the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
But Smith, his hetero-lifemate Jason Mewes, and the others from his movie universe will be getting a visit from someone who fans of AMC’s zombie survival drama franchise and Image Comics/Skybound’s comic book series will recognize.
In a YouTube video from FBE, Smith and Mewes are surprising fans while promoting the new film. The duo informs one reactor at the 6:20 mark that Robert Kirkman actually has a part in the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
The reactor named Chelsea Cook, who is also a major fan of The Walking Dead and has even done red carpet interviews with the cast for Skybound, were discussing how she discovered Smith by watching Comic Book Man after AMC’s zombie show was over. It was at that point where Smith dropped the bomb that Robert Kirkman will be in the film.
At this time, it’s hard to know what role Kirkman will play in the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. It will most likely be a short appearance, possibly a cameo with a joke about zombies included for reference. However, for those who already love Smith’s work, this is a feather in the cap for fans who also enjoy the undead.
Set to release on Oct. 15, 2019, the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot should be a fun time for moviegoers who are hoping to enjoy some comedy in between their binges of AMC zombie dramas like The Walking Dead. If you do see the movie, be sure to keep an eye out for Robert Kirkman!
