The interesting stuff
Those gross effects. The woman being eaten in the beginning sequence of the episode was absolutely disgusting. The bite out of her leg was one thing, but literally pulling her face off and eating it made the episode truly frightening and disturbing.
This ain’t The Masked Singer. Beta had enough of Alpha’s “singing” and instead prefers the noise of the undead. After only hearing walkers for so long, any other noise is probably distracting, so it’s understandable, but giving her a little happiness in that one day in the asylum would be kind.
Walkervision! Shrinking the size of the screen to allow a border showing characters from the show on the side was a bit odd, especially when the commercial was for a bow and arrow. I’m not sure how I feel about it, but it was definitely not something I was expecting to see.
Beta sticks out like a sore thumb. Wearing a mask and walking among the undead may be enough to fool the zombies, but seeing the massive, trenchcoat-wearing Beta moving in a herd is a dead giveaway that it’s the Whisperers. That makes his size both a blessing and a curse for the group.
