8) As we come back from the title sequence, Aaron is reporting to Father Gabriel about the mask and suggest Alexandria go on lockdown, before Michonne advises dialing it back to simply having the community on alert. Since last season, it seems Michonne and Aaron have switched roles when it comes to their attitudes about security, with Aaron now being the overly cautious one, and Michonne the more lenient one.

9) After not appearing at all during the post-time jump portion of last season, Cyndie has returned.

10) As they search the area around Oceanside for Whisperers, Aaron asks Michonne if they’re the good guys. This is the first time the group’s place on the good-evil scale has been addressed since Morales confronted Rick with that idea back in the third episode of Season Eight, “Monsters”.

11) Michonne yelling at Aaron that his hasty attack on the scattered walkers they encountered on a bridge was stupid is very much inline with her character, as she similarly reprimanded Sasha on the way to Alexandria during a different confrontation with walkers on a bridge back in Season Five’s “Them”, warning her “Anger makes you stupid. Stupid gets you killed”.

12) In another amusing reversal, Michonne tells Aaron to keep his cool and not provoke The Whisperers. When Alexandria was first confronted by Negan, it was Michonne who chaffed under an enemy’s rule and someone else (In that case, Rick) telling her to sit tight.

13) What happened to the people at the old campsite Magna found? It would appear the campers were attacked by walkers, but, the (Relatively) fresh corpse at the scene seemed like they were murdered, execution-style. Additionally, the fact that the campers hadn’t been skinned (Although, someone else clearly had been), raises the question as to identity of the killer(s).

14) The story Judith recounts to R.J. about the brave man who sacrifices himself on the bridge to save his friends is clearly about Rick. How is it that they haven’t told R.J. the identity of The Brave Man?
