15) Siddiq’s flashbacks are the first we’ve seen of the deaths of DJ, Frankie, Alek, Addy, Rodney, Ozzy, Tammy Rose, Enid, Tara, and Henry, and confirms that Alpha was the perpetrator (As opposed to another Whisperer doing the killings at her behest).

16) Ezekiel recounting to Daryl about his beef with birds is the first we’ve heard of his life before the apocalypse since he revealed to Carol how he acquired Shiva back in Season Seven’s “The Well”.

17) When Connie brings Dog to Daryl, he signs to her. Daryl is the first person outside of Magna’s group to show any knowledge of sign language.

18) This episode gets its name from its sixth bump card, which reads: LINES WE CROSS (Which also happens to be the title of a trade paperback volume of The Walking Dead comics).

19) Speaking of the bump cards, this episode is the first to use them since Season Eight’s “The Lost And The Plunderers”.

20) In something fairly unique for The Walking Dead, following Aaron and Father Gabriel’s radio call, and again as the Soviet satellite breaks orbit, we get to see a single event (Or, in this case, a pair of them) from two different perspectives.

21) During the forest fire following the satellite’s crash, Carol slits a walkers throat to extinguish some of the fire, the first time a walker has been used for that purpose.

22) That said…did Carol slitting the throat of that walker…kill it? We don’t see Carol put the walker down afterwards. If this did kill the walker, it would certainly be a first, as well as, frankly, a massive retcon.

23) Just before going to help Eugene try to salvage the Soviet satellite, Luke asks Eugene a pertinent question: With the satellite having been in space since perhaps as far back as the 60s (And, having gotten blasted by The Sun for all that time)…is the satellite radioactive? I have a feeling this is going to be like Morgan’s stick from last season of Fear…
