MVP from The Walking Dead episode 1002: Finding kindred spirits

In an installment of The Walking Dead devoted to the Whisperers, who was the MVP from season 10 episode 2 on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019?
Although only on the second episode of season 10, The Walking Dead changed things up a bit by having an episode devoted entirely to telling the story of the Whisperers. It not only sheds light on how Alpha met Beta but showed how everything is set up for conflict from their side.
Episode 1002 titled “We are the End of the World” featured some great acting and interesting situations. Samantha Morton and Ryan Hurst are amazing as Alpha and Beta, plus the introduction of Thora Birch as Gamma is very welcome.
Despite the limited number of characters, there were some amazing moments in the episode and one individual went above and beyond to be named the MVP.
The MVP from episode 1002 is Alpha!
If you would have said Alpha would ever be the MVP from an episode, it would have been a shocker. But there were some great reasons the leader of the Whisperers deserved the award this week.
First of all. Alpha was protective of Lydia, even in the face of the towering Beta. She stood up for her daughter, who was terrified after watching an injured woman be devoured by walkers outside the mental health facility.
The interaction with Beta was interesting as well. Not only did she manipulate him by playing to his emotions but she showed her physical dominance by eliminating walkers in a hallway. Combining her wisdom with strength makes her one of the most intimidating characters on the show.
For the time being, Alpha has been able to make her followers believe that Lydia is dead. That keeps her save for now and maintains power for the leader of the Whisperers, but that lie could end up biting her in the end when her daughter is discovered alive.
An alternate choice for MVP: Gamma – When placed in a tough situation, she chose the route that saved the most lives. Not only that, but her actions made her a highly respected individual among the Whisperers.
