The Walking Dead’s Kerry Cahill launches the Cahill Cares Fund with The Barking Dead Ball and will be joined by Cooper Andrews and Ann Mahoney.

Kerry Cahill who plays Dianne on The Walking Dead has launched a non-profit called the Cahill Cares Fund which benefits bees, battle buddies and firefighters. The Barking Dead Ball is the kick off her to her fundraising. This event is presented by Mardi Paws and Cahill will be joined by fellow Walking Dead actors Cooper Andrews, who plays Jerry and Ann Mahoney, who played Olivia.

Three Walking Dead cast members will be on hand at this event. Cahill joined The Walking Dead in Season 7 as Dianne, a member of the Kingdom.  Most recently we saw her on the beach at Oceanside helping with the training of the militia group. Cahill has been seen in The Walking Dead, Free State of Jones, Mudbound, and Terminator Genisys, just to name a few of her projects. Andrews who plays fan favorite Jerry, King Ezekiel’s right hand man is also known for his work in Halt and Catch Fire Den of Thieves and recently stared along side fellow Walking Dead actors, Pollyanna McIntosh and Sabrina Gennarino  in the movie Darilin’. Mahoney’s character Olivia was sadly killed in season 7. But, Mahoney has been very busy with many acting projects well as her line of children’s clothing, Peeky Designs.

The Barking Dead Ball will be held on October 26th at the RiverWalk in Madisoinville, LA. This event will not only benefit Cahill Cares but also Bastion House which supports returning warriors and their families. Costume attire is being encouraged and prizes will be awarded for most creative, spookiest, and best couple costumes. There are two types of tickets for this event, VIP which includes early entry, celebrity guest meet and greets with photos. The general admission includes a swag bag. In addition to the costumes and VIPs there will also be killer cocktails, fiendish food, a silent auction (which includes signed memorabilia) and door prizes.

As Cahill’s career has gained her more notice she decided that she would like to give back in some way. She thought she would combine her love for gardening, her ‘army brat’ background and the need for rural fire fighters, to set up fundraising efforts for these entities. Her goal for this event is to raise $8,000 for Bastion’s community garden. This garden will allow residents to not only plant a garden but encourage them to work together as a community to provide fresh vegetables for the community.

Cahill told PR WEB:

"As my career has begun to rise and I have been able to garner attention through my acting, it is important to me that I give back. I am an avid gardener with a deep appreciation for the land and our connection to it, and a gold star family member and army brat. I remember our entire community coming together and ranchers using their equipment to fight fires with their neighbors. If every community had a large garden nearby, grocery bills go down, bees have nectar, and children have healthy food. If you come home after a long day or wake up from a short night, unable to sleep, a dog wagging its tail or licking your face can make a huge difference. If a rural fire department can get extra training or a vital piece of equipment, hayfields, forests, and homes can be saved. Cahill Cares is just starting, and I’m excited to see how we can grow."
