This week’s episode of The Walking Dead features Alpha’s return and Carol’s quest for revenge. Here’s your recap of episode 1003, “Ghosts.”

6:00 AM, Hour 1

We begin with the sound of a ticking clock. The sun is bright in the Alexandria sky and Carol’s timer goes off, signaling that it’s time for Carol to wake up and take some pills.

Outside, Eugene spots a bunch of walkers heading toward the gates.

Hour 4 signals the arrival of more walkers.

By Hour 11, Aaron and his troops are in the middle of a bloody battle to keep the undead at bay. They come back around Hour 13 and Eugene shows him that there are more walkers coming. He meets with the community members to tell them that the herd is coming from the border. Carol wonders if this is Alpha’s doing, and Michonne tells everyone to remember their training and “lock it down.”

Hour 14: Michonne joins the group at the fence.

They fight through the night and into the next day. Over a day has passed. The fighting continues at Hour 37, when everyone sits back and takes a small break.

The next morning Michonne finds Judith at the window while RJ sleeps. She tells her mom that it’s not smart to sleep unless it’s safe. Michonne’s radio beeps and she’s called outside. It’s Hour 49 and there are even more walkers coming. She looks out over the distance and realizes that they are about to be inundated once again by the undead.

Cue the credits, here we go!
