The good stuff

  1. The Negan has been unleashed. Letting Negan out to fight walkers is a bit of a gamble. He may still be hostile toward some survivors for their actions against the Saviors while there are many who don’t forgive him for what he has done in past seasons of the show. This is a big step toward building him back into a contributor to the community.
  2. Teasing Carol vs. Alpha. There is something about Alpha that sends shivers down my spine. Carol is a true badass, but even she might be outmatched by Alpha if the two were to go one-on-one. This will definitely be something to watch going forward.
  3. Being a good friend. Daryl wouldn’t let Carol go off by herself. That’s a good thing because she is blinded by rage and made quite an impression on Alpha. Those two care about each other a lot, and it’s great not to see them let each other damage themselves.
  4. Dante stepping in. With really suffering from being the witness to Alpha’s slayings, he can’t focus. It’s impacting his ability to do his job and it’s obvious to those around him. Dante is being very kind to him in hopes he can help him through the trouble, which is great because everyone needs somebody sometimes.
  5. Not everything is a hallucination. It turns out that Carol seeing things isn’t all in her head. She eliminated those walkers in the gym and even shot one of the Whisperers who later died and came back as one of the undead. She was hot on their trail, and nobody believed her.
