The Walking Dead 1004 sneak peek and preview: ‘We’re already at war’

The survivors are put to the test as war with the Whisperers looms on the horizon in the sneak peek and previews of The Walking Dead 1004.

The gauntlet has been thrown in The Walking Dead and the war with the Whisperers seems all but inevitable at this point as tensions boil over in Alexandria. In next week’s season 10 episode 4 the survivors start making plans to go to war, with Michonne working to keep control of the survivors as they process the prospect of war with the Whisperers.

In the preview of The Walking Dead 1004 it’s clear that the anger focused at Alpha is directly proportional to the anger directed at Lydia, who isn’t going to stand by and take it when she has not been part of her mother’s plans for a long time.

There’s some kind of conflict with Ezekiel’s group, with nine injuries and lots of walkers on the way. Luke asks Connie if she thinks it’s the Whisperers, but Connie doesn’t think so. Yumiko tells Magna that they need to get out of there if they’re going to survive.

Then, in the sneak peek of 1004, Michonne rides alongside the wagon and tells Judith that sometimes you can ignore bullies and sometimes you can’t, and in this case ignoring the Whisperers is not an option.

Judith, whose wisdom knows no bounds, asks her mom if the Whisperers are trying to do to them what they do when they let RJ run around before bed. He wears himself out and then goes to bed by himself, so perhaps Alpha is trying to get them to wear themselves out so she can make a move.

Needless to say, the kid is spot on. Now it’s just a matter of how to convince the rest of the survivors to not get too amped up about the Whisperers. It’s when you are tired and worn out that mistakes are made, and we all know that mistakes in the zombie apocalypse never end well.
