5. Blame the whisperers!

We are going on day three in this episode of slaughtering walkers. Countless walkers, the numbers could very well be in the thousands at this point. Our survivors are running on absolutely no sleep whatsoever and it is causing many health issues including paranoia. They don’t even seem to be considering any alternative for what is happening to them.

When I watched the first episode of this season, as our survivors were putting out the fire and the hours ticked by, I was genuinely surprised we didn’t see more walkers than we did. When they finally showed up, it was certainly a “where have you guys been!” moment for me.

So my first thought, when I saw these guys battling walkers from all angles continually, was that this was caused by a gigantic fireball crashing to earth. This massive sound across the sky for hundreds of miles could have drawn them towards the direction of the communities, and the sounds coming from our people could just keep them coming our way.

While I can certainly say the whisperers bringing this on is a viable option, it’s clear most of our survivors are having no other thought than them. Some will not even listen to reason. This is extremely scary to me, it could really work against our group. For now, it’s not thinking through of the reasons this could be happening and later it could be rushing a battle plan for the true villains. This could grow and take many lives in the process.
