4. Nature fights back!

Hogweed. Never did I ever think The Walking Dead would bring dangerous plants into the show. Whenever I think of this universe bringing in nature I think of the weather, we saw this last season with the snowstorm devastating the Kingdom. We also saw Fear The Walking Dead deal with a hurricane, ruining roads and what little shelter they had. I will applaud you for this one though Walking Dead, plants, a true villain.

Funny enough I am familiar with Hogweed, as I live in a place where this grows. However, I am guilty of not considering this. When our poor Aaron was blindsided, no pun intended, fans were too. A majority of people on social media assumed the same as me, that in the process of killing a walker he got blood in his eyes.

Aaron during this scene is having to deal with Negan, which understandably has him on edge. They argue, and Aaron is having to relive old wounds. He hasn’t forgotten having to witness two people have their heads bashed in, the death of his husband is brought up. He is also running on no sleep like everyone else and then loses his sight.

He is ultimately saved by Negan and given the bad news that his sight could be gone forever. At this moment I’m sure many fans at home were thinking the same thing. Come on AMC, you took his arm! Not his eyesight too! While I was a little relieved because I could see a parallel with Negan saving Aaron like he did Rick in the comics, and I was decently sure he would survive, I was still worried Aaron would once again be maimed.

Luckily we can all breathe easy knowing our mace arm wielding warrior is back in commission! My next tortured list member might not be as lucky.
