1. Mother to mother

This scene had me on the edge of my seat. Of course, no meeting with the whisperers is going to go great and without a hitch, The Walking Dead would never allow that to happen. Bringing Carol or Siddiq to this meeting was a bad call for the group to make, knowing what issues they are dealing with. However, bringing Carol did make a nail-biting scene. As soon as it was shown she never laid down all her weapons, the fans knew something would happen.

Carol is not in her right mind, she horrifically lost Henry. Grief can do many things to a person, and while she had a break away from everything on a boat, coming back has made the world crash around her. Through grief, her judgment is already compromised, and now there is the detrimental bonus of her taking pills and not sleeping. She is not thinking of the lives of everyone, she is thinking of revenge.

Anything Alpha could have said she would find conflict with, I’m sure almost every survivor there likely did have conflict, the difference is Carol spoke out at the moment instead of making plans later. This caused Alpha to say the most messed thing she could have said. She knew Henry was Carol’s son, she said he screamed her name while he was beheaded.

Each episode the whisperers prove how they are the most ruthless villains we have had on this show, however, this should secure them a spot in the fictional villain’s hall of fame. Carol then pulls out her gun and attempts to take Alphas’s life. The rest of our group stops her, meanwhile Alpha doesn’t even flinch. Michonne apologizes for Carol and then Daryl ushers her away. Not before Alpha shows what little mercy she does have by telling Carol she forgives her mother to mother.
