Season 10 of The Walking Dead has seen Carol go rogue and put herself in a lot of danger. Should the other survivors be worried about her causing a war?

Carol has been one heck of a character over the course of her existence on The Walking Dead. She has made a major transformation since her appearance in season 1 but lately, she has been struggling in a big way.

Losing Henry and segregating herself from the group by leaving on a boat, Carol hasn’t exactly been part of the group upon her re-joining of her friends. She tried to take a shot at Alpha, crossed over into Whisperer territory again, and even killed one of Alpha’s people.

She can be a great asset, but the question of whether or not Carol is a danger to the communities in terms of their relationship with the Whisperers and putting herself in horrible positions. We reached out to our panel to get the answers.

Sara L. says

Yes, if she stays on this current path she most definitely is. She is running on little to no sleep, she is grief-stricken, and on top of everything taking drugs. Anyone running on that to live is going to be a liability. We saw her speak out against Alpha right in front of her, she isn’t the only one wanting justice and the smart move here is to not lay all your cards on the table. She also took a shot at her, let’s say she did get it off and killed Alpha, that doesn’t mean the other whisperers there lay down weapons and rejoice. It likely means she immediately started a war being selfish. If a war happens, everyone needs to be on the same page, it can’t be one loose cannon. The survivors need to think smart right now, and Carol is doing everything but that.

Jeffrey K. says

I don’t believe she is a liability at all, but I do think she is exhibiting reckless behavior. We have seen what extreme trauma can do to someone and how it can cause them to act in ways that they normally wouldn’t. In the past, trauma has caused characters like Tara, Rosita, and even Rick to do things that put others in danger. Carol is someone who is rational, although this is a rough period for her. I fully believe she will get through this and come out stronger because of it. Carol has a great support system around her and she will need to rely on them to get through all she is going through.

Renee H. says

I don’t think so. She is suffering trauma from losing yet another child. She had put on a good front and pushed through her feelings for a long time. I think something will snap her out of this and she will be back to her badass self soon.

Adam C. says

Absolutely. Her attempt to start a war at the non-violent meeting with Alpha and the Whisperers was one thing, but crossing over again to chase some of Alpha’s people only to kill one is not likely to be met with kindness from the leader of the Whisperers.

It’s reasonable that Carol is mad and wants revenge, but her actions are putting every single survivor at risk. Using drugs to stay awake and going rogue shouldn’t be tolerated by the other survivors, but sadly she learned nothing from her short talk with Michonne and Daryl.
