Lydia walks out and sees that everyone is looking at her. She sees Aaron and Gabriel talking. Laura was on duty but she didn’t let him out. Lydia tells them that she let Negan out and marches down to the cell.

Daryl goes down to the cell and tells her that she didn’t do it because he was watching her all night and he knows she didn’t leave. Lydia knows that everyone wants her to be in jail. She wonders what would have happened if she stayed locked up at Hilltop, or if she never allowed them to take her alive. She wonders if all the polite faces were the real masks, because those same people picked a target and aim at other people. Daryl says she didn’t know Negan, but she reminds him that he stood up for her when he didn’t have to. She tried to fit in, and to be like him. He says she doesn’t belong in the cell, but she wants to stay. She was safe there.

Ezekiel tells Jerry that he’s doing better now. They’re loading up supplies for the trip to Oceanside and everyone says goodbye to each other. Luke says his goodbyes to Connie and Magna, and he waves at Yumiko, blowing her a kiss.

They ride off.
