The good stuff

  1. Yumiko taking charge. Ezekiel isn’t quite ready to step in as a leader. His empty feelings of failure from allowing the Kingdom to fall. Yumiko stepping in and giving direction to those in need was something that needed to happen and could be a clue as to who could be next in line for a bigger role in the community officially.
  2. Michonne’s talk with Judith. Hearing them talk about current events with the Whisperers cleared up quite a bit about what is happening with Alpha’s group. Not only was it a nice way for fans to catch up, but it focused on how the communities could deal with the Whisperers going forward as well.
  3. A pep talk. Michonne sympathizing with Ezekiel about losing so much in his life was touching to watch. The two fantastic actors hadn’t shared a lot of time together in the past, so this was nice to see two characters interact in a powerful way. Even if romance isn’t for them, they have plenty to share with each other.
  4. Face-to-face. Much like the pep talk, seeing Daryl and Negan together is a refreshing new combo for the show. There is a certain amount of intensity and nervousness that happens when these two characters are on the screen together and it’s something that fans should hope to see more of in the future.
  5. A helping hand. Watching the communities bring supplies to each other even while there is turmoil happening at each location is a good thing. They were able to handle their issues while not skipping out on needs. Plus, it sets Luke up for some lovin’ at Oceanside!
