3. Lydia being bullied!

It is such a shame that the world has ended, and the dead walk amongst the living, yet people still get bullied. Not only does poor Lydia get bullied but some adults are involved! It broke my heart watching the way they treated her. Paranoia is never a good thing, but it takes on a new level of sad when an innocent child is getting its ugly after-effects.

The fact of the matter is, nobody can help who their parents are. While different children might have handled it in different ways, any of the people judging Lydia could have been her. She had nothing to do with 10 people being decapitated and it’s unfair to judge her based on things she could have never prevented.

In the first scene where we witness Lydia being bullied, we can see plenty of people standing around and yet nobody stops what is going on. Aaron steps in but it seems that even he doesn’t care that they are disgusting, he seems more concerned that the bullies aren’t paying attention to his lesson plan.

It’s just mind-boggling to sit back and watch an innocent child get treated in such a way and see people not care. A child is in the infirmary from wounds of being beaten and yet it seems like the council is more interested in talking about Negan’s PAST crimes. While those crimes are worthy of discussion it just seems like little value is placed on Lydia’s life.
