The Walking Dead panel: Where will Negan go now that he’s free?

With Negan leaving Alexandria once again, fans of The Walking Dead have to be wondering where the former leader of the Saviors will go,

In season 10 episode 5 of The Walking Dead, Negan was released from his cell in Alexandria by an unknown person and was nowhere to be found when the people of the community started looking for him.

Negan has been quite productive when he has been outside the walls. He has tracked Judith down in a snowstorm, protected Aaron when he was blinded, and turned himself in during previous outings.

This time, it’s hard to know where Negan is going and what he will be doing. Our The Walking Dead panel has some ideas on what his destination and purpose might be!

I believe he will go to his personal helicopter, find CR…… kidding! I believe he is going to head to the Whisperer camp. Where he friends Beta and they have hysterical times together. If I’m really lucky maybe I can get a spin-off with the two. The adventures of Beta and Negan!

While he may have no real destination in mind, it is almost certain that Negan will cross paths with the Whisperers at some point. Having been locked up in a cage for years and only having recently been able to leave the walls with Aaron, it is unlikely that Negan is aware of the borders set by the walker skin-wearing villains. This could lead the former Savior to stumble upon the Whisperers by accident while wandering around in search of a place to stay long-term.

I definitely don’t think Negan will head to the Sanctuary seeing as how he saw the bad shape it is in when he last escaped Alexandria. I can see Negan trying to track down the Whisperers to make some sort of move against them. He may try to make a more diplomatic move and attempt to speak to Alpha and/or Beta about backing down.

I think it would be wild if he goes to the Whisperer camp to try to join “the skins” to fight against the communities. After how the members of Alexandria have been hostile to Negan especially recently, it wouldn’t be ridiculous to think that Negan may want to live elsewhere.

Since he didn’t escape and he was released, he may not have an idea of where to go. I believe he might try to find the Whisperers and see what he can do as far as that threat is concerned. It’s in his best interest that something is done about them since he is part of the communities being threatened by them.

It’s time for Negan to do more soul-searching. When he previously managed to escape from Alexandria, he learned that the Sanctuary and the Saviors aren’t an option for him anymore. This time, he will hopefully realize that he can be a productive member of Alexandria while continuing to look after those who are could use some help, such as Judith and Lydia.
