Some bodies hit the floor in season 10 episode 5 of The Walking Dead. Which characters didn’t make it alive during “What it Always is” on Nov. 3, 2019?

The Walking Dead hasn’t been hitting deaths too hard so far in season 10. Through the first four episodes, the show hasn’t given fans a lot of reasons to sob uncontrollably or become irate because of a character’s passing.

The body count went up a bit in episode 1005, with a few individuals not making it out of the episode alive and a few of those deaths coming out of absolute nowhere. Hopefully, one of your favorite characters didn’t meet their doom.

Here is the body count from episode season 10 episode 5 of The Walking Dead titled “What it Always is”:

  • Several walkers
  • A wild boar
  • Amelia and Milo
  • Brandon
  • A zombie whisperer

On a zombie show, it’s not too surprising that a lot of walkers will bite the dust. Zombies can be a major obstacle and the ones that went after Kelly and Negan in this episode both deserved to meet their end for nearly finishing off their targets.

The walkers did get a feast in this episode. The boar killed by Kelly with her slingshot didn’t make it back to the Hilltop and instead was devoured by the undead. While it’s sad to see the meat didn’t make it back to the community, at least it wasn’t Kelly who was eaten.

When Negan was spending so much time bonding with Milo, fans had to know something was up. The young man and his mother were saved by walkers and Negan was planning on bringing them back to Alexandria to let them acclimate to the community. Sadly, Brandon didn’t let that happen.

In an act of blind rage after being rejected by Negan, Brandon took it into his own hands to massacre Amelia and Emilia in hopes it would bring back the version of Negan who ran the Saviors. Instead, it enraged the new version of Negan and he beat down Brandon, smashing his head with a rock.

But the blood wasn’t done being spilled there. Gamma had found the reanimated member of the Whisperers who Carol shot and put it out of its misery. She reported this back to Alpha, and now the leader of the Whisperers likely suspects foul play from the survivors.

This was a bloody episode. It was sad to see Amelia and Milo go, but chances are that the death of Brandon didn’t break many hearts among fans of The Walking Dead. But they have to be thankful that both Kelly and Negan weren’t bitten in episode 1005.
